About Brittney

Brittney is a proud double alum of Howard University, earning both her undergraduate and law degrees at the prestigious Historical Black College and University (HBCU). Originally from the Dallas, Texas area, Brittney moved to Washington, DC to pursue her dream of becoming an Attorney and Politician. In fulfillment of that dream Brittney began her legal and political career working for prominent members of the Council of the District of Columbia where she held positions such as Chief of Staff, Legislative Counsel and Director. Brittney has drafted and assisted in the implementation of laws and policies in the District on subjects such as affordable housing and healthcare.

Recently, Brittney represented her community as a pageant queen placing 1RU (runner-up) in the Mrs. DC America 2019 pageant held at the prestigious Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Through her pageant work she has gained new insight into image branding and is excited to start a new project to help professional women enhance their natural beauty.

Brittney’s career has consistently been focused on mission based legal advocacy for the District’s most vulnerable residents. Currently, she serves as Assistant General Counsel for the DC Housing Finance Agency where she aids in providing affordable housing opportunities to District residents. Brittney is also a Real Estate Agent, motivational speaker, and frequent panelist on various subject matters such as real estate, leadership, and political and civic engagement.

Brittney is married to Dr. Robert Jordan, and together they are the proud parents of their son Major Guy Jordan.
